Exploring Bisbee in the Toyota 4runner

I’ve been living in Arizona now for 18 years and have rarely explored any places outside of the Phoenix metropolitan area. So when the Bisbee city of tourism invited me to explore the town, I didn’t hesitate to say “sign me up, please!”. In partnership with Toyota and Bisbee Tourism Visitor Center, I’d like to take you on a tour of fun things to do in Bisbee, Arizona.

About Bisbee

Bisbee is located in southeastern Arizona, 8 miles north of the Mexican border. It is built on steep canyon slopes and was for many years a copper mining center. It’s also known for its unique history, art culture and historic architecture.

The Road to Bisbee

Before I made the drive out to Bisbee, I scoped out the terrain. The road to Bisbee not only gets greener but also gets narrower. It sits in the Mule Mountains and the roads in Bisbee are steep. For this reason, the 2023 Toyota 4Runner TRD Sport was the best vehicle for this terrain. I was expecting the feel of an SUV but once you start driving it feels more like a truck. We also needed a comfortable ride as the drive from Phoenix is around 3 hours. When you climb into the 4Runner TRD Sport, it has an elevated vibe. It has leather seats and dual climate control so both the driver and passenger can be comfortable for longer road trips. We were also impressed with the 8-In. Touchscreen With Apple CarPlay® Compatibility. I easily plugged in my iphone and got directions, made calls and listened to my playlist.
