5 Summer Self-Care Essentials

This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.

I think we can all agree that 2021 summer heat is the WORST. Last month, Phoenix got hit with monsoon season and I think I took three showers a day because of the heat and humidity. As a family, we would much rather stay in our cooled air conditioned house to beat the heat. However, staying indoors all the time can be quite boring and depressing. I'm working with Babbleboxx to talk about five essential self-care products that will help you beat the heat.

SKINCARE FROM SKY ORGANICS

Incorporating a daily skincare routine is essential. Personally, the weather can tremendously affect my skin (i.e. sweat clogs my pores). My skin has always responded well to organic products and Sky Organics uses plant-powered and organic ingredients. To tame the oil on my skin, I use their Blemish Control Clarifying Facial Toner. Made with purifying witch hazel and lavender water, this toner helps soothe skin and reduce excess oiliness to keep my skin looking clear and refreshed. A few nights a week, I use their Bentonite Clay Detox Mask. It helps remove blemish causing impurities, pollutants, and toxins from my skin. To spot treat, I love to use their Blemish Control Spot Treatment. It helps target, control and improve the appearance of blemishes.

Insoles from Superfeet

I've always had problems with my feet. I find athletic shoes are the most uncomfortable. Trading out the insoles of my favorite athletic shoes with comfort insoles from Superfeet has been a game changer. Their EVERYDAY COMFORT insoles has MEMORYCLOUD Memory foam which molds to your foot to create personalized comfort. The contoured shape cradles your heels and hugs your arches, providing relief for tired, aching feet. These insoles are incredible and feels like I'm walking on clouds.

HALO On The Go Hydration Powders

In our household, we shy away from buying sugary drinks. However, it doesn't mean that we sometimes crave it. I love a cold glass of lemonade on a hot summer day. Thanks to the founders of HALO Hydration, Anshuman Vohra and Robin Shobin, they created a low calorie, low sugar and a guilt-free healthy hydration powder perfect for everyday use. The bespoke formula includes organic lemon juice, natural electrolytes, and ionic trace minerals along with powerful immunity boosters, zinc, magnesium and vitamin C. I take these on the go powders everywhere I go. I love having a glass of the lemonade first thing in the morning before a workout.

THE SECRET KEEPER OF JAIPUR BOOK from Harper Collins

The best way to beat the heat this summer is stay indoors with an intriguing novel. If you read THE HENNA ARTIST, you’ll love the sequel, THE SECRET KEEPER OF JAIPUR. In this new novel, henna artist Lakshmi arranges for her protégé, Malik, to intern at the Jaipur Palace in this tale rich in character, atmosphere, and lavish storytelling. I can't wait to dive deeper into this novel!

Tree hut sugar face scrubs

If you know me well, you are aware that my skincare collection is vast. At least once a week, I routinely scrub my face to get all the dry skin and impurities off. I'm ecstatic to add the Tree Hut Sugar Face Scrubs to my skincare collection. The product’s rich in texture, glycerin-based formula helps to replenish hydration as skin is exfoliated. Made with a natural sugar exfoliant, it gently and naturally buffs away patchy dry skin, flakes and debris to allow for a deep-down pore cleansing. The line features four different scents to help hydrate, brighten, purify and nourish skin! I was able to try the Purifying Blueberry & Turmeric Face Scrub and Nourishing Banana & Oat Face Scrub. The first thing you'll notice when using these products is the scent. It smells DELICIOUS! After using these on my face, it felt clean and smooth.
