How to Revive Your Health & Fitness Resolutions in the Spring

*This post is sponsored by Babbleboxx and all opinions are of my own.

I know what you were thinking at the beginning of the year. It's 2020, it's my year to get healthy and fit, AND to finally stick with it. We are certainly in strange times right now and I am certain your routines have changed. I admit that spending time at home is NOT my thing. I love being outside, going to the gym, fitness classes, eating at a healthy restaurant, etc. etc. I've had to embrace spending more time at home and I'm surprisingly loving it. I have a lot more control of what I do such as working out when I want (not a slave to the gym schedule), eat healthier foods, read books that have been sitting on my nightstand (apparently I was too busy before quarantine) and spend more time on self-care.

I've teamed up with Babbleboxx this spring to help you revive your health and fitness resolutions. I'll be sharing several products that will help motivate and keep you on track at home.

Tip #1 Get Your Greens

I've made it a habit to eat a salad daily. The more green and leafy the better. However, I did read once that most of the calories that are in a salad come from the dressing. It's important to portion out your salad dressing and also invest in a healthy brand. I love the Healthy Choice Power Dressing because it adds a delicious flavor to my salads and it's only 45 calories or less per serving. The dressing is made with real vegetables and no artificial flavors. Healthy Choice Power Dressing comes in 4 delicious flavors: Creamy Ranch, Creamy Italian, Garden French and Greener Goddess. They are so yummy!

Tip #2 Get that Collagen

The Pink Simply Collagen Beauty to Go packets make it convenient to add 10g of Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides (Type 1 and III) to your diet. It's also unflavored so you can mix it in with any of your favorite drinks (I like it in my coffee!). You can also add it to your post workout smoothie! Use code 20SHAREPINK to get 20% off All Pink products on Amazon.

Tip #3 Reap the Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

Have you guys ever drank apple cider vinegar? It's pretty harsh right? Nature's Truth Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies has no vinegar aftertaste and has a delicious natural apple flavor. Each gummy delivers 600mg per serving of apple cider vinegar! Get all the benefits of ACV in a gummy.

Tip # 4 Get Moving - Indoor and Outdoor

As much as I love being at home, I need to get outside for at least half an hour each day. Some of the products that help me keep motivated are these amazing sport headphones from Aftershokz, these feel good compression socks from No Nonsense and this durable smartwatch from Suunto.

Running outside is my go-to cardio and the Solar Red Aeropex headphones are perfect for staying in place during my run. They also have bone conduction technology which allows for total awareness and comfort while I run. They are so comfortable that I forget they are on. You can get 15% off these headphones until 5/15/20 at this link here.

Running on cement, as you can imagine, can be hard on your feet. You need a sport sock that gives you good arch support and graduated compression. These compression socks from No Nonsense make the perfect running socks for my daily outdoor runs. They come in no show and crew sock styles.

Keeping track of my workouts has been a big motivator for me. I love being able to see how many steps I've made and how many calories I've burned. The Smartwatch from Suunto (Suunto 7) does this and so much more. It has free offline outdoor maps (a plus for runners or hikers) and Wear OS by Google features. I like that I can read my to-do list for the day, easily check texts and calls, and even pay with Google Pay. It's my everyday companion and stylish too!

Tip #4 Practice Self-Care

Working from home can sometimes be stressful. During these challenging times, it's important to take some time to practice self-care. When I take a break during the day, I step away from my desk and grab a book to read for ten minutes. Recently, I've been reading Ignite Your Light by Jolene Heart. It's a beautiful read about filling your life with beauty, healing and personal energy. The book is full of delicious recipes, immune-strengthening wellness rituals, and practical steps for building a better world.

I also find it important to take care of my skin. Every morning I cleanse my face, moisturize and apply sunscreen before I start my day. I've been using LiftActiv Peptide-C Sunscreen from Vichy (SPF30). It's also an anti-aging daily moisturizer so it's a double duty product. It's important to protect your skin from the harsh rays of the sun, especially if you love to workout outdoors like me.

I hope you enjoyed reading about how to revive your health and fitness resolutions in the spring. Remember it's ok to get up and start again. The important thing is you are moving and taking care of yourself.

Love and virtual hugs,

Melissa
