PMD Personal Microderm Device Microdermabrasion - Will it work?
The price of facial treatments is not exactly affordable for everyone. What if you could get the same results at home for a huge fraction of the price? Specifically, Microdermabrasion, which can cost anywhere from $100-$200 per treatment. Although I have never personally tried this treatment, I've heard that Microdermabrasion has quite a few benefits including ones that I'm extremely interested in such as the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, blemishes and enlarged pores. For the next month, I will be using the PMD Personal Microderm Device, which is a revolutionary at-home skincare tool that provides the same brilliant results as professional, in-office microdermabrasion treatments.
What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a general term for the application of tiny rough grains to buff away the surface layer of skin. It gently exfoliates or polishes off the top layer of dead skin cells, while stimulating collagen growth, to reveal healthy new skin that looks and feels smoother. Products such as moisturizers, creams and lotions are more easily absorbed and therefore more effective after microdermabrasion treatment. This is a painless, low-risk skin treatment that can be added to your beauty routine.
What is the PMD Personal Microderm Device?
The PMD retails for $159 and the replacement heads are $20. You can purchase a device on their website here.
Will it work?
I plan on testing out the device for the next month and reporting out the results to you. I've attached some before photos to show you what my skin looks like before using the tool. In the meantime, if you have more questions about the device, head to their FAQ section for more info. Come back for results in a month!
