How to Throw a Fabulous and Easy Friendsgiving
Hi Everyone! I wanted to share a fun "how to" with you on the blog about Friendsgiving. I have tons of friends in Phoenix that have families in other states so I thought it would be nice to host a Friendsgiving for them. Thank you to my lovely friend and blogger, Marisol Avila (All The Prettys) for opening her beautiful home to us for this little party.
I've teamed up with Sprouts to share with you how easy it is to host a Friendsgiving with their easy fully prepared holiday meals. The first step is to decide which meal you want to serve. Sprouts has five fully prepared meals to choose from including a vegan option. Each meal comes with a choice of meat (natural turkey, boneless turkey, spiral-sliced ham, or USDA choice beef rib roast) and six sides. You can order the meal online or in their app. It's recommended you order the meal 48 hours before your party. You set up a day and time you want to pick it up. I would recommend reading the re-heat time in the heating instructions to give you an idea of when to pick it up. We picked up our meal at 11:00 am and the party started at 2:00 pm.
The next step is to decide on your decor. I scoured pinterest for some inspiration and sent them to Marisol (the decor queen). Luckily, she owned most of the items we needed. However, my go-to stores for decor are Hobby Lobby, Target and Home Goods. You can find some cute decor and use it for years to come. If you're on a tight budget, text your friends and ask them to bring decor they already own. Get them in on the decor party!
Last step, send an invite through Facebook. I find this way of inviting is easy, free and effective. The Sprouts Holiday Meal does not come with a dessert or drinks so I asked my guests to bring either wine or dessert. It's another perfect way to host a budget friendly and easy Friendsgiving.
My family thanksgiving dinners can be a lot of work and I didn't want that madness for Friendsgiving. Give your friends a night to remember so make it easy and unique!
